It did not take a genius to work out that the bloke in question was Field Marshal Montgomery. He seemed to be quite a favorite with Matchbox and later on Revell.
One per set of 8th Army in 1/76 scale
Plus one in 1/32 scale.
As the name suggests a pose appears in His caravan set, which if you look closely appeared to be in the background of the photo with Winston Churchill.

And lastly I had to be reminded that the commander in the Stuart Honey M3 tank appears to be him as well, with a pair of bino's this time.
