Review- MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter in Iridescent Gold.

Hi everyone!

So I have a review for you all today and I feel like I haven't done a review in a while because I've had inspiration to do different posts (which I hope you enjoyed). But I am throwing a review into the mix and I have a few ready and waiting to come *hopefully* soon but before they go up, I have a life post to go up which should be good.

Right, so that's a quick update on what's coming up, now lets get started...

I will be reviewing the MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter in Iridescent Gold.

Here is the actual product it's self. I recently spotted this while I was browsing in Superdrug (which I do every time I go shopping!) and it drew my attention straight away because I had never seen it before. This is brand new to the range and I am so glad I saw it because it looks lovely. The packaging is very basic, just like the original shimmer highlighter, but I really like the packaging of them because it's very simple. I love the white packaging rather than the black the MUA do a lot because I feel it compliments the product more. As you can see, it has the same wave kind of pattern on the product which just makes it even more appealing.

As you can see, it is called Iridescent Gold which is pretty self explanatory because that's exactly what the shade is.

So here is what the product looks like inside. I just love the pattern of this and the way it looks in the pan, it makes it looks very pretty and more expensive than it is. In the shop, it did look more on the while/cream side when it is out in natural light, it is very much more gold which is stunning.

Here is the product swatched on my finger and it is very gold but I love that it is a cream colour too because it makes it much more wearable. It is quite pigmented but not crazy pigmented because I don't like that in a highlighter because it just looks overwhelming and more fake. I think this is seriously gorgeous. It applied really lovely to the skin and you don't need too much to get a lovely glow. I think this would look lovely on tanned skin or darker skin tones because it is more gold but I think this can work well for lots of people.

Here is the swatch on my hand. It is pigmented and it just looks lovely.

Here is the original and the new one side by side. As you can see, the original (right) is very much more pink/beige toned compared to the new one. It also has more of a silvery/champagne undertone shimmer rather than a gold like the new one.The packaging is the same on both products. If I was packing my make up bag to go away with, I would pack both because I think these would go with different eye looks but I love them both a lot. I find the versatile and I would reach for either of these to finish off the cheeks beautifully.

Here are the swatches side by side. As you can see, the pink one is much more silver toned and the new one is gold. I think these could work mixed together too to create something in the middle that will add a lovely highlight. I do feel that the Iridescent gold one is much more pigmented than the pink one but they both glide on beautifully and they can be blended lovely to finish off the cheeks nicely.

So, yet again, MUA haven't let me down and they have come out with another brilliant product. These are my favourite highlighters that I have and I think so many people would love them. I think they would be an amazing staple in a beginners make up kit and for the price, these are really amazing. Everyone should have at least one of these in their collection, to try out, even if you are a high end kinda shopper, these would be lovely in anyone's collection.

I still can't decide which one I like more because I really do love both and I don't know what I'd do if they were not a part of my collection.

Let me know what you think, do you prefer the pink or the gold one? Have you tried them out?

Thanks for reading and I'll see you next time, bye!
