"I want to go to an all-inclusive beach club", said Cecilio on our 2nd night in Mexico.
Eventually, his wish came true when we came across Mr. Sancho's Beach Club on our phone. For $55, you can eat and drink all you can and laze around at the beach, just like we did at Kool. There are extra packages if you were interested in parasailing, horseback riding, or the inflatable beach water park.
We took the Ultramar ferry to Cozumel. The employees eventually started playing music to get us in an upbeat mood.
I found the town of Cozumel cute and charming. I found it funny how they had Starbucks and Cartier though. We walked around a little bit and had the taxi take us to Mr. Sancho's. It became overcast on that part of town, and I was getting a little worried. But there were moments where the sun shone on and off.
There were 2 bars (one of which had a pool by it), and the buffet lunch was under a palapa. I personally found the food delicious, but Cecilio wasn't too impressed with it. The big letdown were the drinks though: they were so weak! I swore I ordered 3 or 4 drinks but there was still no buzz.
The beach was incredible. It was crystal clear, and there was thick seaweed on the ground, but it wasn't everywhere in the water. Cecilio and I spent a good 2 hours swimming on the beach, and we got to see some fish underwater. Now we both regret not doing what Cozumel is known for, snorkeling, and instead spent it going to an overpriced club. We could've gone to the beach on our own. Oh well! The water was perfection.
Once Mr. Sancho's was closed, we took a taxi going back to the town and explored a little bit more before waiting for the ferry to take us back again.
I am having withdrawals. I just want to be back under the sun without a care in the world, swimming in the vast, beautiful water with Cecilio again. We will go back another time, or find another beach destination. Maybe Hawaii next year? He's never been. We will see.
Till next time,
